Flamenco Festero Summer 2026

NEW! Flamenco Festero Class

Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm

8 Weeks starting July 8, 2026

In this brand-new class we will learn all the skills associated with the time-honored tradition of the “flamenco cuadro,” including singing simple “festero” or “party” songs in chorus, playing palmas, and dancing short pieces (either solo or in a group) of palos such as rumbas, sevillanas, fandangos and  bulerias. You don’t need to be a good singer, and you don’t need to know Spanish (although we will be learning songs in Spanish!) Dancers should have at least an Advanced Beginner or higher flamenco dance level, and familiarity with many basic palos like rumbas, tangos, bulerias, and fandangos. This class will be a party! Taught by Olivia Chacon with Isai Chacon.

This class is available online via Zoom (although in-person attendance is highly recommended.) A video of each class will be made available to registered students.
